Norton Rose announces an extranet facility for clients of its London-based employment law practice.

It is believed to be the first generic extranet offering from a law firm to be specifically aimed at human resources (HR) directors.

The service, Employment Smart Room, offers access to clients' own files, to the employment group's precedent and information banks and a drafting engine using HotDocs technology from Capsoft to help users modify standard legal documents, such as severance agreements and prepare working precedents.

Employment Smart Room also offers a broad-based online information service for HR professionals, including an A to Z of employment law comprising 5,000 fact cards, weekly updates from the employment press and links to the firm's online publications and external websites.
