Sweet & Maxwell extends use of HotDocs for publishing

The HotDocs software features across a number of precedent based CD-ROMs published by Sweet and Maxwell covering commercial contracts, commercial property development, landlord and tenant agreements, trusts documents, wills and matrimonial proceedings.

The intuitive question and answer format is applied to a range of forms and agreements, with the result that drafting time is greatly reduced. And, when routine documents need to be prepared, the initial work can be undertaken by less experienced staff to help free up fee earners' time.

A typical example of this is the application of HotDocs in Practical Matrimonial Precedents on CD-ROM for the automated completion statutory form E, the Financial Statement form used in ancillary relief proceedings. Users can enter the relevant details into a readily available form template held on their PC. The calculation of the sub-totals and totals under each heading is done automatically.
