HotDocs templates are being used in two areas of DrKW Finances asset
management business;
the production of decision support documents,
and the generation of rental agreements.
In the first instance documents are structured depending on customer type,
assets, tax basis, and other conditions. They confirm actions taken and
decisions made and are an important part of the process leading up to
the commitment of funds.
Some documents are a permanent part of the business process and have been
developed in HotDocs from earlier versions. In other cases, HotDocs is
used to create prototypes for data capture and reporting. This has proved
to be a quick and effective way of identifying user requirements.
Drafting of rental agreements is a time consuming process, as it must
take account of customer type, deal structure, payment method, legal jurisdiction,
and so forth. Agreements for each DrKW business sector are being considered
separately and at present one sector has been automated with a start has
being made on a second.
The main reason for automating the rental agreements is to become more
responsive to customer needs; early indications are encouraging.
